When customers share their story, they’re not just sharing pain points. They’re actually teaching you how to make your product, service, and business better. Your customer service organization should be designed to efficiently communicate those issues. - Kristin Smaby, Being Human is Good Business
News of bad customer service will reach more than twice as many ears as praise for a good service experience. This is why you should take the time to address unhappy customers and do everything in your power to rectify the situation. It's not only worth keeping their business, but also avoiding any negative word of mouth exposure.
For every customer who bothers to complain, 26 other customers remain silent.
Customer feedback is golden-Your company should come up with internal processes to track complaints and go about fixing them. Also, do everything in your power to make it easy for customers to give you feedback, telling you about the problems they have had. It takes time to sift through feedback, but the value added to your business is worth it! At WeZipCode.com, we want to help you help your business keep going and growing in all the right ways!
Can I respond to my business reviews?
Yes, you can respond to your customer’s reviews. Even if the review is less than satisfactory, you are then able to address this issue, turning it into a success. If you handle it carefully, patiently and intelligently, this will be a great opportunity to enhance your professional reputation—and your credibility—on line.
We know that you know to never turn your back on bad reviews. Your clients are the heart of your business—and they may also be the best critics of something you may not even know is going wrong. People still believe in people more than in advertisers: that is why reviews are so important. But we can also recognize absurd comments, and eccentric people (with too much time on their hands). Never be afraid to politely contact them in response.
Does WeZipcode.com recommend every review from every user?
Yes. It is not that we want you to show EVERY review from EVERY customer. You don't have the time and we don't have the space. However, each and every review is an opportunity for you to interact with your customers--those you have, and those you may have. We will exhibit those reviews that best reflect the opinions of the WeZipCode.com community, but we will offer the opportunity for EVERY review to be seen. Naturally, you will have the first opportunity to see these reviews, which gives you the chance to follow up and, if necessary, do some damage-control.
WeZipCode.com constantly searches for those reviews that actively contribute reliable and useful content to our online community. We want what YOU want: to help your business get bigger and better at EVERY opportunity.
Help! What happened? There was a review on my business that disappeared.
Is it OK to ask my clients to write reviews about their experience with my business on WeZipCode?
Absolutely. Granted, businesses always tend to ask happy customers to write happy reviews, but there is nothing wrong with that. It's a natural, online extension of the if you like us, tell your friends! philosophy. WeZipCode.com wants to hear from each and every voice, as should you. If your customers are NOT happy, you should want to know that, as well. We will give your business the opportunity to generate feedback. How you handle that will be up to YOU--and we are here to help at EVERY turn!
How did my business information get published?
WeZipCode.com licenses basic business data from a variety of third-party information providers (who collect this type of information from public records and other sources). We also get business information from members of our online community, who are willingly help us correct some of the info we have— or even let us know about a new service that just opened in their zip code. Please feel free to let us know if our information isn’t up to date! It is in YOUR best interest to do so!
Should I take legal action if someone writes a bad review?
It is not the policy of WeZipCode.com to offer legal advice. You can always consult an attorney near you for advice; but know that it is very common that any business will receive a bad review once in a while. If you ask any attorney about slander or libel suits, and they will tell you that such legal action is very expensive—not to mention difficult to win. Your business would more than likely be more adversely affected, as these suits tend to be made public…and are serious drains on your time and money. You should instead use all that time and energy to better your services: getting to the bottom of the situation, to find out what went wrong. Although it may certainly come as a surprise to you, your client might actually been in the right.
Can I have my business information deleted from WeZipCode.com?
WeZipCode.com will not remove your business listing, unless you have closed it. It is far better for your business to interact with your consumers, even if they do leave you an unsatisfactory review. It is a far better practice to listen to your clients, who are your best critics.
Why is my information listed incorrectly?
We apologize if you find that your business information is incorrect. We can assure you that we are working hard to adapt our system to remove outdated and incorrect listings. However, this is a slow, meticulous process.

On the home page of WeZipCode.com, you will see various icons, listing our community's main categories. When you click on an icon that best describes your business, you will see a list of sub-categories. These sub-categories will allow you to list your business more specifically. Choose the one that again best describes your business or services in greater detail.
The more specific you are, the easier it is to find YOU when a customer searches for what THEY want.
If you do not see a sub-category that you feel adequately describes who you are and what you do, let us know! We are happy to do what we can to set your business apart. Remember, we want what YOU want--to help your business keep going and growing in all the right ways!

Once you find your business listing, select the blue button Claim This Business, fill out the form and send it to us. One of our highly-trained and courteous customer service representatives will contact you very soon.
If your business is not listed and you would like us to listed for you, email us at email@example.com
How do I market my business?
Tell your customers—and potential customers—why they should use your services. This will allow you to stand out from the competition.
Your profile is where the consumers find out about YOU, so take some time to think about your business and services, and tell them YOUR story.
Think about writing your marketing description like you were telling a story. Use your marketing description to describe how your services can save your customers aggravation, time and money; not to mention the added comfort and convenience. Explain to them that they can receive a discount, just for living in the same area where your business is located. —for example, if you are in Miami Beach, you can offer a discount for residents in the 33139, 33140, and 33141 areas.
Uploading Photos and Video in your profile page
Show off your business professionalism (and your creative side!) with a photo gallery of your work!
When selecting photos to upload, here are some things to keep in mind:

Share photos of yourself and your team. This allows you to put a “face” on your business.
Include photos of your office, workshop, trucks, and so on, to let them see what you can do for THEM!
Customers are always interested in seeing how you do what you do, so show them pictures of the equipment you use, and “action photos” of your company using them.
Your photos will appear on our “business photos” page, as well as on your profile.
How to upload and edit your photos:

Uploading my Videos
Including a video can help you add dimension to your profile, allowing you to make a personal connection with potential customers. Show employees in action, or have your customers give a video testimonial. If you don’t have professional equipment, use video from a cell phone or handheld video camera (just as long as it truly represents your company, and what you do!). You can even use a TV commercial that was produced for your business. If you are a realtor, use your listings videos. If you are a Construction company, you can show videos of the work you have performed. Just be certain to update your videos frequently, in order to keep your content fresh.
Remember, we are here to help you help your community; so, if you have any questions about uploading pictures or videos, you can always contact us by emailing our support center firstname.lastname@example.org
